Organisation wide ICT Transformation

Certa Testing consultants provided a managed test service for CNWL NHS Foundation Trust on their Strategic Infrastructure Programme. The transformation programme was rolled out to the entire Trust, at over 130 sites in and around London and Milton Keynes, reaching over 7000 employees working in Mental Health, Community Health, Sexual Health and Offender Care. The testing service delivered included System Integration, User Acceptance, Production Acceptance and finally Service Support testing. The breadth of technology deployment was large and testing was delivered against each of the following streams:

End User Device refresh
Application migration (Clinical and Business applications)
VDI Data Migration.
Unified Communications (Skype for Business and Lync Attendant)
Contact Centres (Nine centres in total including a 24/7 “Single Point of Contact” emergency support line)

Remote Access Working
Single Sign On
Corporate Intranet (Microsoft Sharepoint)

In addition to the requirements for solid test management experience and expertise, the programme demanded careful engagement with business users and third party suppliers.

(EPR) Electronic Patient Records

Cerner Millennium Implementation

Certa Testing consultants have provided Cerner Millennium implementation (business analysis/configuration and testing) of a solution at two large acute teaching hospitals in East London. The implemented modules included:

Patient administration system
Order comms (Physician Order Entry)
Results review
Diagnostic clinical information systems integration
Enterprise appointments/scheduling for outpatients and imaging.
Emergency department module.
Tracking and reporting systems.

One of the key achievements of the engagement was to create the first paperless radiology departments in the UK. Additionally Certa Testing Consultants have provided testing for Cerner Millennium code upgrades and Data Centre moves at a number of large acute teaching Trusts.

(PACS) Picture Archiving and Communication Systems

PACS and Radiology Information Driven Workflows

Certa Tesing consultants have worked directly with a number of large acute teaching Trusts on their implementation of PACS and RIS, including business analysis, configuration and testing. We have experience with PACS solutions supplied by Sectra, Insignia and GE, along with RIS solutions provided by Cerner, Sectra and Soliton.

One of the key achievements was the testing of the first PACS driven radiology workflow at a multi-site Trust in the UK, which previously relied on three different PACS solutions"

Order Comms

EPR and Order Comms Integration

Certa Testing consultants have implemented Order Comms systems at a number of large acute teaching Trusts, integrating Order Comms with an EPR (Cerner) and with a RIS. Systems worked with include Cerner, Sectra, Soliton and EMIS (tQuest and Review).

One of the key achievements was to test and introduce the first GP decision support tool for requesting in East London.

Local Government ICT Transformation

Application Migration & End User Device Refresh

Certa Testing consultants have provided System Integration and User Acceptance Testing to The London Borough of Harrow on their Transformation Programme to move to a Managed ICT Service. The programme consisted of full End User device refresh and Application Migration project. EUD was carried out to 2000 council staff across multiple sites, including the main Civic Centre, clinical health centres and other council facilities.

Testing delivered comprehensive system integration testing for EUD rollout and the Virtual Desktop environment. With over 200 applications the scope was wide and included large enterprise installations; many applications being critical to the council and dealing with sensitive data.

AI and Machine Learning in Healthcare

Artifical Intelligence

Certa Testing consultants have successfully tested an algorithm for the early detection of Lung Cancer after working with a team of data scientists and was submitted for an International Competition in 2017. This involved large datasets, open source tools and cloud services.
