SAT - Supplier Accountability Testing

Testing usually asks the question: “...is the solution free from defects?” or “...will the solution work as designed once deployed?”

Certa Testing SAT will ask and answer this question:

“now that the solution is deployed, is it actually delivering the benefits?”

This enables customers to gain confidence that end-to-end business processes, and the customer’s business requirements, are fulfilled. This can be utilised by anyone wishing to measure the "benefits realised" by a new service or product, ensuring that suppliers are accountable to the end users. Organisations should not have to endure solutions that have workarounds, have been mis-configured or have post Go-Live defects.

Service options range from advice and consultation to a fully delivered test service.

SAT Service Features

Planning:

Understanding business needs once a service or product is live, creating the appropriate test approach, scheduling associated test activities, testing and recording issues.

These can be carried out immediately on deployment and/or some weeks after deployment.

Risk based testing:

Applying priority planning to test coverage, based on risk analysis.

Test Resources:

Providing experienced SAT specialists for applications and infrastructure testing, with appropriate security clearance.

Coverage Analysis:

Providing reliable traceability to the customer’s requirements and intended benefits.

Specification and Execution:

Creating and executing SAT scripts, evidence capture and management of quality gates.

Defect Management:

Provision, configuration and maintenance of a defect management system. Creation of the defect management process for use throughout the entire SAT process.

Progress Report and Control:

Summarising testing activities, results and progress to the management stakeholders.

Certa Testing’s SATs generate the concrete test results that allow organisations to measure actual benefit realisation (or lack of it) post implementation. This critical knowledge can be used for milestone verification, remediation and service improvement.
